Super Sweet Blogging Award

I truly appreciate every award I've been given, but have a terrible time keeping up with giving them away.  I'm trying to get caught up some now...

Every single day I get a comment or a like is a real 'charge' and blessing to me.  How exciting to know folks are reading what we post as bloggers!  And on those

special days when you get a blogger award, it makes the sun shine brighter and inspires me to keep doing what I love to do...share my recipes, and life in general, with ya'll.  Thanks to all of you who care and support me on this amazing foodie journey. 

It's been a little while back when I received the Super Sweet Blogging Award from a wonderful fellow blogger, The Home Heart. When you have a moment please check out her great blog. Not only is it full of awesome recipes, as her header reads...it's about "Home, Family, Health & Life - And everything in between".  I would be SO tickled if you stopped over and see all the 'goodies' she shares there!

The Super Sweet Blogging Award.  This award goes to those bloggers who give the sweetest comments, or have the sweetest blog.

     a.  Cookies or Cake?    I'll take a crunchy cookie over a soft piece of cake any day of the week. 

     b.  Chocolate or Vanilla? Depends...if it's ice cream, definitely vanilla.  But I love love love chocolate most-anything else.

     c.   What is your favorite sweet treat?  I love a panfull of warm brownies or cookies from the oven.

     d.   When do you crave sweet things the most?  When I’m trying to behave the most!

     e.   If you had a sweet nickname, what would it be? Mrs. Bakery *=*

I began blogging at the urging of my daughter, Deb, who is a blogger herself. She still loves to tease me because she always reminds me that I kept telling her..."I'm not sure what I will blog about!"
 I had NO clue what I was getting into...she did my set up for me and got me going.  It took me about a year to really get the feel of it, but now...as I've already confessed to you...I am addicted.  Oh how I love being able to share the great dishes we enjoy, and to help expand the ideas for others - whether you're a rookie or are well seasoned -  in the kitchen.

There are many wonderful bloggers out there...I sure am thankful for the friendships we build as sisters of the foodie world as we leave comments and email each other.

1. I love all kinds of chocolate, especially dark. 

2. I have been a wife to the same wonderful man for 44 years, am mama to 3... Nana to 8. 
3. I have surprised myself and have actually enjoyed doing some public speaking. I have been dubbed an "Inspirational Humorist"...(I like that!) 

4. My favorite color is purple...the darker, the better.

5. My favorite books to read are autobiographies or ones authored by my dear friend, Mesu Andrews. Her fictional stories about Biblical characters are amazingly creative. 

6. It would be difficult to survive in my kitchen without my whisk.

Good Book or a Good Movie - I love to read autobiographies, but don't spend a whole lot of time reading. The Notebook is my favorite movie.

My Passion - being an encourager (I mail atleast 40 (post)cards every month.

Giving or Getting Presents - My love language is gifts...so I really do enjoy giving them more than getting them. (though I LOVE getting them too)

Favorite Day of the Year – Thanksgiving or Valentine's Day

Favorite Flowers – I love Pansies, especially ones that are purple; they look like they each have a little face...so cute.
